shut the fuck up about rape

In a comments section about Julien Blanc, some shrew said:

“And when you say dehumanization, let’s take a look at what rape victims go through after their ordeal. If that isn’t “dehuminization” of an innocent person, what do you call rape? What do you call child molestation? You know,if you’re gonna fire off a bunch of $10 words,at least LEARN who those words apply to.You fail to sympathize with the victim, untill YOU or anyone you know goes through the same trauma, then I doubt you understand anything at all,so go shove your dictionary up your ass. Obviously that’s where you picked them up,even though you probably have no idea what they mean.”

I said:

Sure, men are potentially dangerous monsters.  Crime is statistically higher in black neighborhoods, so I guess black men are even more dangerous monsters.  Yeah?  Would you like to argue this?  Because so far as I can tell, the reasoning is identical, isn’t it?  If this isn’t the logical conclusion of your line of reasoning, then what is?  You are literally a bigot.

As for rape victims, I’m sure men raped in prison feel dehumanized.  The United States incarcerates a full quarter of the world’s prison population, even though it only has 6% of the world’s population.  The U.S. incarcerates more citizens per capita than any society in human history. According to some studies, men are as likely to be raped in the United States as women.

Now, would you like to invoke more sexist tropes that hold that women are weak damsels in distress and use this as a pretext to erode due process and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in the single largest police state in human history with the world’s most extensive system of male rape gulags?  That’s a curious position to take for somebody who claims to care so much about rape victims, now isn’t it?

Care to explain yourself, moral crusader? Or would you like to avoid this question like you avoided the comparison to the lynch mob which murdered “street harasser” Emmett Till by hanging him from a tree?  Should we protect you from the big bad rapists like the Klan protected the woman Mr. Till whistled at? Would that be “social justice?”  These are not rhetorical questions.

Why not just assume that men are guilty of rape right off the bat and let them prove their innocence?  The Kanin study  in 1994 showed that 41% of rape allegations were false, not 2%.  You tell me.  Please go on conflating molestation of children and rape with a guy teaching other men how to hit on women.  What the fuck is wrong with you?  Gee, do you think that maybe a few things have gone over yourhead?

Speaking of sympathizing with victims… are you fucking kidding?

You people are dangerous to a free society.  You’re literally not even in the ballpark of reality and there is no way to cut through the endless layers of hysterical, maudlin ideological 19th century fantasy bullshit to even attempt a rational conversation.  So far as I’m concerned, you people are insane and can have no control over the laws that govern our lives.  You belong in another century.

You’re sitting here talking about rape as if nobody takes rape seriously.  As if it isn’t considered a heinous crime that provokes virtually universal disgust.  Teach men not to rape?  They already know not to rape.  It’s already a crime.  Nobody is trivializing rape except feminists who are hell bent on using it as a moral and political bludgeon and endlessly expanding its definition to all absurdity.

Is there ever a point where the introspection begins?  Not even after VAWA, rape shield laws, UVA, Hofstra, mattress girl, Duke Lacrosse, and the privilege of being able to destroy somebody’s life and career with nothing but an anonymous accusation?  Really?  We don’t take rape seriously?  What planet are you on?  There is no rape culture, there is only a profoundly anti rape culture which is generations old, one in which men fall all over themselves to play hero and protect women from whatever boogeyman, real or imaginary.  That’s the only reason anybody takes people like you seriously.

Actual rapists are repeat offenders and fit a profile common to other sex offenders, like pedophiles, yet nobody would argue we have a “pedophilia culture.”

Nobody will ever accuse you of being a monster based on your gender, so please stop condescending to me about how I can’t possibly imagine a woman’s experience.  By all accounts, women are the safest demographic which exists, they are even safer than children.  I am far more likely to die of violence, to be assaulted, 90% of workplace injuries and deaths are men, I could go on and on.  Where’s *my* safe space?  What makes you think you know anything about my experience?
